Three Types of Practical Utility Builds in Minecraft

In Minecraft, there are countless hidden game mechanics. Clever players have used these mechanics to create all kinds of amazing utility builds. Today, let’s take a look at these interesting utility builds. Even a 7-year veteran player might not have built all of them.

Mob Farm

The monster spawning mechanism in the game is very unique. When the light level near a player is below a certain point and solid blocks exist, scary monsters will continuously spawn to attack the player.

However, clever players have used this mechanic to create various kinds of mob farms. They make monsters spawn at a high point and then fall to their death. This allows us to easily obtain large amounts of experience and resources.

Semi-Automatic Farm

Pistons in the game can push blocks, and water flows can push items. Players have used these mechanics to easily create semi-automated farms. From then on, getting food only requires flipping a lever or pressing a button to quickly harvest.

Besides regular wheat and potato farms, there are also various interesting semi-automatic farms like sugarcane farms and pumpkin farms. It has to be said, players are truly clever.

Fully Automatic Farm

Later, some players discovered a little secret about villagers. When a villager is hungry, if other villagers have food, they will throw the food to the hungry villager to eat. It’s quite heartwarming, actually.

But players used this villager mechanic to quickly improve semi-automatic farms. Villagers in the farm will both plant crops and collect them. It’s absolutely perfect. From now on, we only need to take food from the chest; we don’t even have to touch a button or lever anymore.
